Which fishing reel you choose depends upon
what kind of fishing you plan on doing. It also depends on what
kind of fishing rod and line you already have – if you are
fly fishing, you need to be sure that the weight of your fishing
reel, rod, and line are all equal. Besides fly fishing reels, there
are bait casting reels, multiplier reels, spin cast reels, spinning
reels, and other fishing reels.
